This form is to be completed by any AusCycling member interested in becoming a Foundation Instructor MTB (previously Level 0 MTB Skills Instructor).

The AusCycling Foundation Instructor – Mountain Bike course introduces participants to cycling instruction practices and consists of two components. A classroom-based theory component, and a practical assessment component. Courses are held nationwide around Australia.

The course is aimed at club and community members (minimum 16+ years of age), parents, and teachers who want to learn the basics of group management, risk assessment, and teaching techniques to assist others to develop their cycling (riding) skills.

Participants who complete the course will be equipped to lead beginner group rides and deliver basic skills instruction sessions on green trails.

We'll use the information provided here to notify you of upcoming practical assessments in your area.
